A Message for our team & customers

I wanted to take a moment to talk about something incredibly important to me, and to us as a company. We've always been committed to providing a professional, polished service, but our values go much deeper than that. For me, creating a genuinely safe and supportive environment for everyone, both within our team and for our customers, is a mission that's deeply personal.

This is why we're launching our "Safe Place" initiative. It's not just a new logo or a tick-box exercise; it's a living commitment to fostering a culture of respect, understanding, and acceptance. I believe that a truly inclusive team is our greatest strength. I want everyone at Cleanial to feel seen, heard, and respected.

My journey has shown me that true allyship begins with education and a clear path to support. I’ve learned that it's crucial to empower people with the knowledge and tools to create a safe and welcoming culture from within. It's about building a culture where no one feels the need to hide their identity at work, where they can be their authentic selves.

That's why our "Safe Place" promise is about more than just a symbol. We have implemented an internal training program for our entire team. We’re building our policies on the foundation of the Equality Act 2010, which protects individuals from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender reassignment.

We're putting our commitment into practice by ensuring everyone understands what it means to be a true ally. This includes using inclusive language and respecting personal pronouns. Our anti-discrimination policy explicitly protects individuals based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We also have a secure, confidential system in place for any employee to report a concern without fear of retaliation.

Ultimately, this is about ensuring Cleanial is a business that reflects our core values. I want our team to know they are valued, and I want our customers to know that when they choose us, they’re choosing a company that is committed to making a difference.

Thank you for your support as we build an even better workplace, together.

Training & In-House Support

We believe that true allyship begins with education and a clear path to support. That's why we have implemented an internal training program for our entire team.

Understanding the Law: The Equality Act 2010

Our training and policies are built on the foundation of the Equality Act 2010, a key piece of UK legislation. This Act protects individuals from discrimination, harassment, and victimisation based on nine protected characteristics, including sexual orientation, gender reassignment, and religion or belief. We are committed to ensuring our workplace is fully compliant with this law.

For Our Employees:

  • In-House Allyship Training: We've trained our team on what it means to be a true ally, including how to use inclusive language, respect personal pronouns, and understand the lived experiences of our LGBTQIA+ colleagues.

  • Zero-Tolerance Policies: Our anti-discrimination policy explicitly protects individuals based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We have a clear path for reporting any concerns.

  • Confidential Reporting: We have a secure, confidential system in place for any employee to report a concern without fear of retaliation. Our designated contacts are here to provide support and listen.

Our goal is to ensure our team has the knowledge and tools to create a safe and welcoming culture from within.

Our Commitment to an Inclusive Community

At Cleanial, we believe in creating spaces that are not only Cleanial's but also safe and inclusive for everyone.

We are committed to fostering a genuinely supportive environment for our team and the wider community we serve.

This page is a living resource that outlines our commitment and provides tools and support for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
